Initiated a Midfield Organization at Damac with Steven Bergwijn
As the head coach of Damac, I initiated a midfield organization that aimed to improve the team's overall performance and create more opportunities for attacking play. This strategy was based on understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each player in the squad, as well as analyzing their playing style and tendencies.
To achieve this, I worked closely with the players and identified key areas where we could make improvements. We focused on improving our passing accuracy, ball control, and decision-making under pressure. By doing so, we were able to create more chances for ourselves and also open up spaces for our forwards to exploit.
Another important aspect of our midfield organization was to develop a cohesive and organized structure. This allowed us to work together seamlessly and create a strong sense of unity and teamwork.
In addition to these changes, we also made some strategic changes to our formation. We shifted from a 4-2-3-1 to a 5-3-2, which allowed us to have more freedom on the pitch and to create more space between the lines. This helped us to control the tempo of the game and to dictate the pace of the match.
Overall, the results of my initiative were positive. Our midfield became more dynamic and creative, leading to more goals and assists. We also improved our overall tactical awareness and ability to execute our strategies effectively. As a result, we were able to win several matches and reach the semi-finals of the league tournament.
